Message from our President

February 2012

Hello to all the SC ENA members!

I hope all of you have a great start to the New Year. I look forward to this year and working with such a great group of Emergency Nurses. I want to focus our efforts this year on recruitment but also active participation. We have lots of Emergency Nurses who are not members of the association in our state but we also have a lot of inactive members. Any thoughts or suggestions on either recruitment or boosting participation please email or call Pat Griffith, your membership chair, or me directly.

I want to make sure you are aware of the state meeting dates, the state committee chairs, conference dates and chapter presidents, so please note the information noted on each.

The State Meetings for the year will be either Teleconference (Number: 1-866-305-2467 Code: 418648) or in-person in Columbia. All in-person meetings will be held at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia beginning at noon.

I encourage you to get to know your appointed chairpersons of the State Committees. They are valuable resources and willing to help with any questions, concerns or issues you may have.

I would like for everyone to please start reviewing the updated drafts of a few procedures and the Bylaws. The full documents will be on the website for your review. We would like to have open discussion at the 1/20/12 meeting with voting to occur at the meeting on 2/17/11. Titles to documents include: Delegate selection process and duties procedures, Reimbursement of expenses procedures, TNCC/ENPC chapter and state course procedure, TNCC/ENPC roster, Chapter formation/reactivation and deactivation procedure, and the Bylaws.
